Lune Croissanterie
World-famous croissants in a Fitzroy warehouse
$$
119 Rose St, Fitzroy
Kate Reid's Lune Croissanterie has been called home to the best croissants in the world, and honestly, it's hard to argue. The classic croissant is a masterclass in lamination — shattering, buttery, and impossibly light. The twice-baked almond version is almost unfairly good.
The Fitzroy warehouse space is industrial-chic, with a glass-walled production area where you can watch the pastry team at work. Coffee is excellent too, sourced from top Melbourne roasters.
A short walk from Rose Street on the 11 line. Get there early — the queue is real but it moves fast.
